Engineered quartz has always been high in crystalline silica, and it is the dust from cutting and polishing it that causes silicosis. The industry is changing, and we are changing with it. The worktop on this page is 30mm Statuario Oro, one of CRL’s silica-free surfaces with the same veining and the same finish, and none of the respirable silica.
