Stockport Town FC, and the stand is now known as the LM Stone Creative Stand. We also sponsor 2 of their players, Louie D’Souza and Max Bardsley Rowe. The team is led by player manager and Stockport County Legend, Paul Turnbull.

Paul Turnbull

Born in Handforth, Cheshire, Turnbull progressed through the Stockport County Centre of Excellence youth system where he trained as a striker, although he later adapted to playing in the centre of midfield . He became the youngest player to play league football in Stockport County’s history, when he came off the bench against Wrexham on 30 April 2005, aged 16 years 97 days and still a school student at Wilmslow High School.

Former British Super Welterweight Champion & European IBF Champion from Darlington.
I started boxing 2008 at the age of 17. I boxed for Darlington amatuer boxing club racking up 38 fights with 29 wins I then won the Senior elite aba title. In 4 years of being an amateur I was asked to go to team GB assessment dates. After 3 assessments I was called upon by the team to represent my country.

I was a team gb boxer from 2012-2016 boxing all over the world in numerous tournaments collecting medals for my country. After narrowly missing out on going to the rio 2016 Olympic qualification spot I took time aside and decided to turn professional. I signed with mgm management team now known as mtk global and signed a promotional contract with Frank Warren. I was on a ticket deal which for any boxer is really hard to earn a living.

I’m currently unbeaten in 18 fights and currently hold the ibf European title and British super welter weight title. I’ve not had the easiest of journeys and not had anything giving to me, I’ve done it the hard way and kept positive and patient. 2022 is going to be a massive headache through year for me. My feet are firmly on the ground and I know with the same hard work and dedication ive shown in the past, everything I have my sights on are possible. Williamson made his professional debut on 29 October 2016, scoring a third-round knockout (KO) victory over Borislav Zankov at the Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland.[6] After compiling a record of 12–0–1 (9 KOs) he faced Dario Socci for the vacant IBF European junior-middleweight title on 21 December 2019 at the Copper Box Arena in London. Williamson captured his first professional title by defeating Socci via technical knockout (TKO) in the tenth and final round.

Troy’s journey began in 2008 at the Darlington Amateur Boxing Club when he was just 17 years old. His natural skill led him to Team GB, where he shined and earned medals between 2012 and 2016.
